Powder Coating

Galvanisation
Also called hot-dip galvanisation, this process involves bathing the wire in a molten aluminium-zinc bath. It results in the wire being coated in two sacrificial layers that corrode in the wire’s place. Galvanised wires are better protected against the elements than their powder-coated counterparts.

Won’t the galvanised layer protecting the wire disappear eventually?
Yes, but not for another 30 or 40 years after the treatment, which is quite long-lasting for a fencing material. If you see the woven wire fence rusting too early in its lifespan, don’t be alarmed. It can mean that the anti-corrosion layer is doing its job.
