Typically three inches long and half an inch wide, 358 security mesh panels have one of the smallest grid patterns on any fence. The grid won’t fit most fingers and toes, let alone hands and feet, so intruders won’t be able to climb over unassisted.
Thick Gauge Steel Wire
Typical 358 security fences use eight-gauge wire about 3.3 mm in diameter. On the other hand, ours is around 4 mm and uses galvanised Galfan wires with welded shear and tensile strength that complies with the EN 10223-4 standard.
Resistant to Tampering
Dismantling this high security fence won’t be an option for trespassers against, thanks to its engineered posts and rails and tamper-proof bolts. Together with 24/7 surveillance and routine patrols, the fence can be immune to such attempts.

Why is it called 358 security mesh fencing?
The term ‘358’ refers to its common measurements: three inches wide (hence the ‘3’), 0.5 inches tall (hence the ‘5’), and using eight-gauge wire (hence the ‘8’). Although our security mesh fence panels are slightly different, we still refer to it as 358 security mesh fencing as it’s a familiar term in the fencing industry.
What kind of finish does the fence have?
All our high security fencing options are finished with powder coating, either using Dulux or Interpon colours. Apart from enhancing the high security fencing’s look, the powder coating also provides an extra layer of protection from the elements.
Can I have a custom height for my 358 security fence?
We can accommodate custom orders for 358 welded mesh fencing. However, to remain compliant with Australian Standards, we can’t accept orders for high security mesh fences less than 2.4 metres in height. Speak with our professionals to be made aware of your options.
